This is one of my favorite movies of it’s time and now it’s finally making its way to Pinball.  Check out the short video to see more.  I love how they’ve used many of the elements of the movie in the game including the Bowling lane, the White Russian drink, and the dudes car on the playfield design.

Pinball Pyramid 3 Show & Tournament Grand Rapids, Michigan

Pinside has posted information on their next Pinball show on September 13th & 14th in Grand Rapids Michigan.  They’ll have 50 machines set up for free play for two days from 2pm-2am! This sounds like a World class Pinball event that should not be missed if you’re in the area.

If you’re able to bring a Pinball machine to the event then your admission will be obviously be free.

I headed over to the Bayside Pinball Tournament in Mentone located in Melbourne Australia last Thursday night at the Mentone Hotel.  I wanted to check out the machines as well as the action from the tournament and it was very different to what I was expecting to see.   The Facebook promotional photo had a collection of seven great pinball machines so when I arrived to only find two I was a little disappointed.  Sometimes with these competitions there’s a few other machines people can use in the meantime while they are waiting to play or you can sometimes just pay to enjoy while the competition is going on.   My personal expectations aside, what they have set up is a really good thing.  I am so used to the Bumper Action open nights/competition nights that I was expecting a little more.
